3 Tips To Stay On Track This Holiday Season

This holiday season has finally arrived which means lots of festivities, lots of decadent desserts , fancy cocktails and late nights. This is the time of year to spend with loved ones and to enjoy yourself . You have worked so hard all year so lets finish strong and start 2022 off right!

I am a firm believer that you should enjoy everything in moderation because life is too short. So go ahead and enjoy that slice of chocolate cake. I know I do from time to time.  Balance is key .

Here are the 3 tips very simple tips that will help you stay on track this holiday season .

1 ) Make sure you get your workout in! If you can start your day off with a sweat sesh even better and don’t worry if its a shorter then usual one  any workout is better then no workout . If you can do it in the morning even better , this way you get your metabolism fired up (burn more fat through the day) and it’s done and out of the way so you can enjoy the evening festivities.

2)  Stay Hydrated

Drink lots of water throughout the day, green tea and electrolyte beverages are also fantastic for hydration. A well hydrated body will keep you feeling full , energized and will help prevent a serious hangover . That’s right, you know what I’m talking about ; that awful feeling  after too many bailey’s cocktails . Enjoy those festive drinks ( in moderation) just drink a glass of water for every alcoholic beverage and if possible go for the clear , less sugary drinks such as vodka soda .

3) Have protein rich snacks throughout the day.  A protein rich snack can be as simple as a handful of almonds . By doing this you will reduce cravings for sugar. Protein keeps you satisfied and helps stabilize blood sugar levels so you are less likely to overdo it on the sweets
